Keeping cold food cold, frozen food frozen and dry product dry requires a total dedication to detail. Managing a food warehouse today is a serious responsibility that we take seriously.

Food manufacturers create standards and requirements for receiving, rotating and storing food products in order to ensure its wholesomeness and extend its shelf-life. We work with most of the nation’s top food processors and pass their inspections each year.

Additionally, we invite third party inspection, like the AIB and U.S. Military, to our facilities in order to double-check our own standards of excellence. At North Star, we vigorously manage temperature control and maintain the highest standards for storing your products using a variety of old line techniques and modern technologies.

Our operation’s team, sets standards for every function in our warehouse including, standards for accuracy, speed, damage and temperature control. No distribution company is perfect, but our investment in technology ensures that the right product gets to your door each time.

Additionally, our selectors work on team strategies for increasing speed and accuracy that keep errors down and service levels up. We measure on industry standards like “pieces picked per hour”, but unlike most distributors, our standards simply begin there not end there.
